Katie loves stylish shoes, but she also has wide feet which, for years, meant having to choose between beautiful shoes and sore feet, or… well, it wasn’t really a choice. Fed up with wearing painful shoes, and recognising the damage being done to her feet, Katie decided to create her own brand of elegant shoes in a wider width. Launched in 2014, and today making beautiful shoes for customers all over the world, Sargasso & Grey offers hope and happiness to fed up feet.

With so many people now needing wider width shoes, it is hardly surprising that since we launched, nearly 10 years ago, a lot more brands are introducing wide width ranges. So, what makes our footwear so unique? Well, other than the fact that we only make wide width footwear, many other brands just take their existing styles and size them up all over. For most people this makes the shoes too roomy at the back and they simply slip out of them.
Our shoes are designed to offer extra width only in the toe box area, where needed most, to give extra breathing space and wriggle room. But our shoes are not just wide width. They are also designed to address and eliminate as many possible pain and pressure points that plague people with wide or other foot challenges.
